In some areas, making money online seems far to fetch a dream. An impossible goal to achieve.
Many would say making money online is ridiculous or not worth the time.
It is wrong.
You can make money online, especially with data skills; you could acquire money more than you expected. Sometimes it is even more than the full-time jobs. Something that I experienced myself.
How do I make money with data skills in the first place?
You don't need advanced data skills to make money online.
The first time I made money online with data was when I shared my learning process on Medium. It's a little money, but it was proven that data skills could make money!
What happens is solidify my belief that whatever your level is, making money online with data skills is possible!
So, what were the options to make money online?
You don't need to start big to make money online. You could begin to easy by writing and creating content from your learning journey.
The point was to collect money using the platforms such as Medium or YouTube. But don't get comfortable with it yet.
It is only the first step to creating your brand with data skills. Content creation is a way to the more extensive road to making money online.
What are the bigger roads? Here are a few other relevant experiences I have in making money online.
Tip #1: Data Technical Writing For Company/Startup/Others. By having my writing is known online and everybody reading it, I have put my place in the data writing world. People soon come to me and pay me for article creation.
Tip #2: Data Teaching/Consulting. When I already had enough experience, I was approached to help teach students. Although, I wanted to build something simpler, which I transformed into data consultation.
Tip #3: Newsletter Subscriber. I only recently wanted to create my newsletter bigger by pumping more content, but I have already some subscribers paying for my content here. Keeping it consistent helps to make the community.
In the future, I plan to expand more of my passive income by creating a few digital products such as video courses, informative e-books, and data science templates. Also, I am starting to expand more in affiliate marketing.
