Find what to learn next in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI.
There are many things we can learn in Data Science.
We have SQL, Python, Statistics, Machine Learning, and now various AI tools that can help us explore data, build models, and support our work.
With so many subjects available, sometimes it becomes difficult to decide what to learn next.
This is why I created the NBD Focus Map.
The idea is simple. I want to organize some of the articles in Non-Brand Data into a few learning directions, so we can explore a subject more clearly instead of jumping randomly from one topic to another.
What is inside the Focus Map?
The current Focus Map covers three subjects:
1. Data Science
This section focuses on the foundations we still need in our work.
It includes topics such as SQL, Python, data analysis, and related skills that help us understand our data and work with it more carefully.
2. Machine Learning
This section focuses on how we build and evaluate Machine Learning work.
It includes subjects such as feature selection, model development, and other concepts that help us understand how Machine Learning is used in practice.
3. AI
This section focuses on newer AI-related topics that are becoming more relevant in Data Science.
It includes subjects such as RAG, AI-assisted workflows, evaluation, and other ways AI can support our work with data.
Each section contains selected articles and a few ideas you can explore further.
You do not need to follow everything in order. You can simply start with the subject that interests you most.

I will continue updating the guide as Non-Brand Data grows and as I explore more subjects.
Continue learning with Non-Brand Data
If you want to explore a subject in more detail, I also write longer learning materials and courses in Non-Brand Data.
One of the available courses is the SQL and Analytics Course.
In this course, we explore how SQL is used for analysis, how to define metrics, how to check our results, and how to explain the findings more clearly.
The first module is free, while the remaining modules are available to paid subscribers.
You can also explore more articles through the Non-Brand Data archive.
I hope this Focus Map helps you find something interesting to learn.
If there is a subject you want me to explore in the future, feel free to leave a comment.
Happy learning!
