We are in a time when LLMs such as ChatGPT are integrated into our everyday lives. I don’t remember the time even before I used the LLM; it’s just that life-changing.
Recently, I have been trying out the open-source LLM GPT4All. It is an ecosystem that provides an open-source chatbot that we can use on our own Laptops with a simple installation.
The installation system is easy; we only need to download the file and run the Chat UI system.
However, how is the result reliability? Let me give you an example of the result. As a comparison, I would compare with the GPT-4 result from the OpenAI.
Prompt #1: give me the recipe of a delicious pasta
At a glance, the OpenAI GPT-4 result gives us a more detailed result and even additional instruction.
Prompt #2: give me a list of reading book for learning python
The result of the GPT4All clearly outperformed the GPT-4 as there are too many repetitive points for the GPT4All.
Conclusion
The result for the GPT4All is still not that good if we compare them to the current state-of-art model. However, as it’s a free version we can run on our laptop, it shows promise.
Keep up with the GPT4All research through their website.
